Celebrations at Museum
of Furniture Studies
DURING SUMMER Design Week the
Museum of Furniture Studies celebrate
the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus
School. From their collection they highlight
Bauhaus furniture together with examples
reflected in Nordic design. See the classic
Wassily chair and enjoy other design icons.
Lars Bülow, one of the founders of the
museum, about the exhibition:
“The Bauhaus radical movement has deeply
inspired furniture designers worldwide
during decades, and still does. Besides
the celebration exhibition, you can easily
DURING SUMMER Design Week, the gallery
will be exhibiting Ann Wolff, one of Sweden’s
most prominent contemporary artists
specializing in glass. Her exhibition Traps
and Transit presents eleven pieces of monumental
works in glass. Ann Wolff has had an
extensive international career. Her exhibition
revolves around staircases. The transparent
light-green and light-blue sculptures absorb
the room and seduce the viewer.
At August 22th Ann Wolff will be
interviewed by Kerstin Wickman, nestor and
professor of design and craft history. It will
be an artist talk about the exhibition and
Ann Wolff’s ideas about art. Don’t miss this
fantastic artist talk and exhibition!.

exhibition of 1980s design you can explore
